Rehabilitation of Waste Disposal Sites
Newe Ilan Hotel, Jerusalem 18.12.2003The Israeli Forum for waste treatment held its annual conference, this time focused on rehabilitation of waste disposal sites and the environmental implications of the site after its closure. Dumps are filling quickly. Even after they finish their role as active sites they may create significant environmental hazards and contamination of land, water and air. During the conference, Advocate Tzvi Levinson gave a lecture on the responsibility of the site operators for post-closure period.
