Israel Manufacturers Association, Tel Aviv 18.12.2007The conference dealt with various aspects of recycling. Attorney Tzvi Levinson gave a lecture on aspects of international recycling law in general and on recycling of electronic waste in particular. Recycling laws of waste from electrical and electronic equipment was particularly developed in the European Union known as WEEE and - RoHS. The EU laws create a comprehaensive regime which affected all manufacturers of electrical and electronic products worldwide. Israel as a hi-tech nation has many companies that are affected by this legislation. They need to be prepared, if they want to continue to sell their products around the world.
