The development of environmental legislation in the U.S.A and European Union is quickly felt in Israel. The American and European influence is a consequence of the growing activism of the Israeli Ministry of Environment. The Ministry of Environment combines in its laws and regulations American and European legislation and standardization. This conference is designed to deal with the issue of the legal significance of adopting foreign environmental legislations focusing on the T.A. LUFT, a German federal legislation of air pollution and on the C.F.R., an American federal environmental legislation. Advocates Julia Lietzmann and Tzvi Levinson lectured about the foreign legislation and environmental conditions that rely on them which were adopted in Israel by the Ministry of Environment and their legal implications.
