Outdated Duties of Water Suppliers to Ensure Appropriate Water Pressure for Fire Protection

With regard to the supply of pressurized water for fire protection, fire protection regulations dating from the 1970s provide different sets of regulations for different institutions, such as museums, private homes, hospitals, schools, etc. This article argues that these regulations are nothing more than the outdated leftovers of an era of inefficient safety and health regulations, reflecting neither the practical reality of fire protection nor real differences between different kinds of institutions with varying fire protection requirements.
