Questions were raised in various legal issues related to the field of nanotechnology.
As often in the field of environmental protection, in an attempt to gain benefits we have to walk a tightrope to avoid inflicting unexpected damages. The same applies to the use of nanotechnology in various fields. In recent years there have been huge developments in nanoscale materials (single molecule level) intended inter alia to the construction industry. There is a very large gap between the technological advances and the legal regime. The application of legal tools involves, among other things, heavy policy decisions about how to integrate principles of law such as the precautionary principle, right now, when nano materials are actually used in everyone's daily life.
